Otherwise, you may wanna surf around the history channel site or something similar.  There's numerous train museums around the nation.

As a last ditch effort, you could find a lionel "scale model" of a replica from back then and pull out a ruler :).

Realistically, I figure there's someone out there who knows about this, but since they haven't yet posted, I figured I'd give you a few resources/ideas.

Besides, I've got nothing to do right now.
