I can think of stranger ones... but I degress.
In a way I agree but I also disagree to a point.

As far as Characters from Deadlands crossing over to D&D... if the world
were
a demi-plane similar to the old west...well then it may work.

As far as Characters from D&D crossing over to Deadlands... once again it
could work if done properly.

Now monsters from either of the systems crossing over is something way kewl,
which I have done. Just imagine the players faces when they were staring at
something akin to a Hanging Judge. ::chuckles evilly:::

Either way it would be work for a very serious gamemaster who wanted to
convert
some stuff. If characters were going to spend quite a bit of time in one
setting or the other
it would merit the time needed to do the conversion. Otherwise I don't think
it would
be worthwhile
