Welcome.
I would say it's easier to die in Deadlands:
You can bleed to death in deadlands (wind loss), you can't in BNW
In DL you can keep going until you die, in BNW you go unconscious at 0
wounds left and die at - your str.
In DL a flat 5 wounds kills you, in BNW most heroes have at least a better
than average str. (3) so it takes 6+ wounds to die.
Body armor is much more common/reliable in BNW

However:
Head shots are a lot more common in BNW
DL doesn't have nearly as many super strengths and energy blasts flying
around
