I got the impression he was biased from the beginning. He criticizes
costumed heroes, then states he prefers Superman level games. I guess all
the characters in his campaign wear trenchcoats. While I don't like the "No
information till your ready" Metaplot business. I got use to it because of
Deadlands. A good game can do that. It became necessary for my own campaign,
to build my own little corner of the BNW Universe. So the Metaplot isn't
that important until the PCs become more involved with the Defiance. And are
ready to do their part in restoring democracy to America. Which is my
ultimate goal for them.
On the game mechanics; I like the fact that the rules are simple, and don't
really interfere with the role-playing. Which happens to be a very common
occurrence. IMHO a game is only as weak as the GM.
