I think I remember you saying earlier that you read the first book in the
Wildcards series and that was it. The first book is, in my opinion, hands
down the worst book in the series, until you get the seventh book or later,
and then things become a lot more complicated because some of those books
weren't all that great.

I think if you read book 2 and especially book 3 you may change your mind
about the series, or at least part of it. Book two still has the anthology
feel to it, but the stories are very much related to one another, they just
have different writers. The third book is the best in the series in my
opinion and it is one flowing story rather than a collection of several short
stories. It reads like a RPG adventure and there is a ton of material in the
book that could be easily adapted to BNW, at least I think so. I use several
of the story elements (not the exact plotline) in my BNW game and the players
seem to like them.

So, if you have some free time, I think you will especially find book 3 a
good read. You really need to read book 2 first though to fully appreciate
book 3.
