;) I know I was a bit shocked when I moved here from Florida. Now
I hardly notice when I'm almost run over by cab drivers, walk around
at night in all places (well, not *all*...)....I'm more afraid of the
manhole covers than I am the people around me.

(For those that don't know, we have a problem with underground
explosions that can shoot the covers into the air. Most aren't in my
area, but a few have happened a little too close to where I work)

It amazes me how surprised the people are....after all, the
convention happens every year. We got to share the hotel with the
Salvation Army this year...and they were not prepared for us. They
were, overall, good sports about it though.

:) Well, anything besides DND seems to be rare, so it will hopefully
be a welcome change for people. I'll probably hand make the chars,
with a wide spread of possibilities. My husband ran a Sengoku game
there last year, and plans on doing more this year, and we've learned
a lot about how to properly set up a con game (as well as watching
what people, including us, did wrong so to avoid it next year).
