I had a similar notion for my Genius, but I went with a slightly different
solution - the sidekick.
I ended up with the hero pair Socket and Wrench, 2 members of Information, Inc
a freelance subsidiary of Triumph. Socket is a Genius with a cybernetic arm
(a gadget) with the following abilities:
Touch interface with computers (+5 computing rolls)
+2 strength (the arm ONLY ... primarily used for melee)
3 "shot" built in Taser, touch range only
Wrench is the sidekick (a gadgeteer).
I took this pair with me to Origins to run in the BNW adventure there (the
description said bring your own characters), but they decided to use pregens
only. It's a good thing they disallowed the character, he would have made
short work of the story. Matt liked the idea though ...
