Hmmm...
For your campaign I would say pick up Delta Prime and The Bargainers
Delta Prime gives some very nice information about what the US is like,
giving more information on civil liberties and other rules. (such as the
first mention of a national nightly curfew)
Bargainers is simply a must have if you're going to be doing a Heaven vs.
Hell. Even if you don't use the metaplot stuff it gives some nice rules
for Bargainers as well as Demons/Angels.
Defiance and Glory Days are nice supplements (Glory Days being my personal
favorite right now) but I'm not sure they'd be all that useful for you.
