I don't think the healing factor covers poisons and disease.  The book 
states, "...they've got healing factors that allows them to quickly recover 
from all but the worst wounds."  This makes me think he can only heal 
physical injury.  Also, the Healer needs tricks to heal disease and poison, 
so I would say that the Scrapper could use tricks on his healing roll, using 
the same tables as healing disease and healing poison.
