i think what needs to remembered, at least in my opinion is that this war  
is more than just another direction for the game. its really a reason as to 
why all these deltas are coming into this world. We can look for allot of 
clues in the bargainer bk(and the covenant bk when it comes out) as to what 
is really going on. But it does not take away from the core story line. You 
don't have to throw your  player into this holy other world war if they are 
not heading that way. Just take the attitude that we have enough problems in 
our own realm to take care of and leave armageddon to the bargainers. In 
this world no one ever has all the information as to whats true, real, or 
factual so why should your players.
it reminds me of a doom patrol story where a character shows up and explains 
to the heroes that armageddon is coming, they looked at him as if he was 
crazy. Was he right? Who cares they just did what they felt was right.
