Ummm, I don't have the book right here in front of me, but isn't that 
multiplied by the user's Size?  Unless your resident Bomber, shrunk by a 
Shrinking Gadget, is Size 1, 2d6+2 is not the basic die roll.  Rather, 
(2d6+2)*5 is the correct equation there (assuming your Bomber isn't Brawny). 
  I don't recall the "averages", but I figure that's going to be roughly 30 
damage (4 die roll + 2, then multiplied by 5) a detonation.  All massive.  
All the time.

Or am I misrecalling the formula.  Regardless, I know that Size is involved 
in there somewhere...

Actually, unless the whole Bomber blows up, I always visualize it less as 
the molecules of the leg reassembling, but rather that the Bomber simply 
regrows a new leg or arm.  So the whole "do the molecules follow you around" 
thing strikes me as a moot point.
