[BNW] Trait Bonuses

What experience point cost would you assign to a +1 to a Trait roll?

There is no option for it in the rules, but I think it makes sense for the genre and characters should be allowed to spend XP for it.  My thought is 10 XP/total plusses you will have on the trait (10 XP for the first +1, 20 XP for the second, 30 for the third . . . ) instead if a flat rate per plus.  The effectiveness of the bonus goes up with each additional plus you get (as opposed to buying extra dice for the stat where, while your potential does go up with every additional die you have, it goes up by smaller and smaller increments the more dice you have).

Yes, this is obscenely high but, remember, you are getting the plus(ses) on every die roll you make with the Trait.  This will make it daunting and cost-prohibitive to have more than a +2 with any Trait - - which is about all I would consider a 'reasonable' and not-unbalancing bonus anyway.
