No no no! Damage don't work that way. You do not add the dice together for a
damage total, you roll a damage roll just like any other roll, taking the
best dice and adding the modifier.
Adding +2 to damage is about twice as powerful than adding a single dice to
the damage. If you do 5d6+5 then on average you can expect to do a damage of
13. If you have the extra damage trick and roll 6d6+5 after an extra success
then you can expect to do a damage of 14.
The only thing I don't like about this new trick is that the hotshot has
this trick where he can get +2 damage per extra action he takes (the blaster
gets +5 but then again the blaster is unbalanced) and if I had the choice
between slowly building up a power that can be disrupted or simply attacking
and getting the same result with a good roll then I know what I would try.
