Speaking as a Guide as a player...  :)  What your Guide thinks is reasonable 
seems to be the big thing in determining whether your powers in your gadgets 
work, or if they get stripped away at a critical moment.

Of course, if you're a Guide yourself...don't know.  I'm tempted to say 
"It's your world" (the answer that keeps on giving!), but the Gadgeteer 
"rules" are so vague that I've actually..._strongly_ suggested that my 
players not take that Power Package.  Pointing out the "If the Guide feels 
they're too abusive, he'll have them stop working in a critical moment" 
usually works.  ;)

No doubt there'll be a Gadget book someday, but until then I'm kinda leery 
around the whole thing.

You mean the lack of one on the Archetype? I mentioned that to Matt.  He 
came up a proposed alternate version, which should hvae gone to Allen for 
eventual inclusion in the accumulated rulings.  Don't recall what it was 
right off hand, though.
