Well, I stayed away from discussing the Goliath in my previous post, because 
I suspect we could debate all day whether the Goliath's various "quirks" 
balance out his combat-only expertise.  I was referring more to the Bouncer.

None of which applies to the Bouncer necesarily...

I wasn't trying to measure the usefulness of, say, Smart-based skills vs. 
Strength-based skills.  My point is that Strength-types gets skills _and_ 
Combat advantages - Smart-types only get skills.

If you don't want to emphasize or use combat, that's perfectly fine.  But in 
general Strength still seems to be a "better" attribute, whether you use it 
or not.
