Well, make sure that you notice that damage is rolled just like skill
dice, that is, you take the *highest* roll, and not the total.. Someone
missed that, and their players ended up killing everything or getting
killed often..

Watch out for the Goliath archetype, especially as a bad guy. In strict
HTH combat, they are monsters, and their armour makes them pretty
tough. If a Goliath PC is your problem, use nasty tricks like
threatening innocents, tripping maneuvres, distance attacks etc..

Other than that, can't say, haven't *actually* run it yet...

Since *any* die type would make (die sides + 1) a theoretical bad target
number, I don't see a problem.. Besides, it's all based off multiples
of
5..

And when you really think about it, it's *not* useless: imagine a
person
with a +3 skill (remember, they are *bonuses* and not extra dice), then
they have a 2D6 stat.. If they roll 4 or higher, they get their TN 7..

That's right: you only count the successes based on the total of
the *final* roll. In this case, 10 makes one success and at least five
more makes the second. (i.e., one success for passing your TN, and an
extra success for every 5 point you passed it by)

He only needs 5 on the *roll*, correct. And also correct, he needs a
10 on the roll for an extra success (since his total would then be
15, which is two successes.

Of course, you're talking about someone with a maximum human stat,
and a whopper bonus.. (Although, the bonus could either be something
like the Goliath bonus *or* it could be a *skill* bonus... Kinda neat,
because it means that a more experienced fighter could *still* stand
a good chance of kicking an inexperienced Goliath's ass...
