Actually, it wasn't machinery per se, it was this quote from Ravaged Planet
p.43:

Patriot: Paolo's a delta, a blaster.  It's a well-kept secret.
Darrow: Do you have any way to prove that?
Patriot: Any doctor could figure it out.

That makes me think blood test, actually.  Hmmmm...

I do *LOVE* the idea of Hunters.  Like a previous poster stated, it reminds
me of the 'Hounds' from Marvel's Days of Future Past story line.
