It wouldn't change my feeling of being cheated on the main rulebook out of
information that should have been included--in the base rules.

And truthfully I can name a large number of game companies that produce high
quality games with color art, and provide complete rules to make a pc in
that first rulebook--they then produce wonderful supplements to fill in the
world, occasionally correct errata, and add minor things they didn't think
of at first, but Raved Earth and BNW came out near simultaneously--they
intentionally designed the books to short us on certain information.
