As for Delta's dyin' and becomin' Alphas..  Well, Deltas died long
before the
first Alpha (Superior) ever came around, so it ain't just dyin' that
fits
the criteria...  An' besides, lots of folks died in Atlanta and San Fran
(and Houston -- don't forget Houston!) but we've not seen anyone crawl
out
of the ashes newly-reborn into an Alpha...

So just as someone said:  not ever reg becomes a Delta;  not every Delta 
becomes an Alpha.  What's more, not every Alpha becomes known to the
public.

Besides, we don't *really* know all the rules in this strange universe
of
ours...  Maybe Alphas are all men named Bob and women named Stacy, who
knows?
