RE: [BNW] Just some questions of curiosity (Matt)
Don,
As one of the Play Testers (I ran it for a group), I thought this would be a
concern to my players.
It was but not as big as I thought. They loved the story line and adapted
their characters to something they could role play more than they could
power game.
Also the fact that they had tricks kept them very interested and made them
somewhat unique.
I would hope for some major upgrades to the powers and the mixtures of power
packages when Alphas come around (don't know if they will but I assume it).
I personally would have liked to see a little more flexibility with the
power packages but Matt hit the nail on the head as I believe he was trying
to make a some what basic system for super hero's to play in....

I tell a
player that he can't both fly and shoot blasts from his hands. At
first, I
didn't like the idea of having to choose power archetypes but after
reading
and realizing that the players are only supposed to be low-powered
Deltas
and not of the Alpha class, I should be able to calm them down. I
was
wondering if your play-test groups had some trouble getting the feel
for
this part. It seems like most of the heroes still rely heavily on
guns.
You're absolutely right when you say that this isn't your typical
super-hero
game.>>>>
