You add +2d6 to the damage roll for each success on the fighting roll. Damage rolls don't really have successes. For instance, if the Target Number is 5 and the Scrapper rolls 18, he gets two extra successes. Let's say he's fighting barehanded, and his Strength is 5. He'd normally roll 5d6 for damage. With the two extra successes, he can add a total of +4d6, so he rolls 9d6 for damage instead.
