There was an episode of "The Real Ghostbusters" where the GBs were on 
vacation and stopped in this lonely mountain town after dark. The locals are 
all absent the day after but at night they're out and about. Eventually the 
gbs figure out that they are vamps and find the real locals locked in the 
cellars of the mayors building. Being the good guys they are, the gbs 
release the real citizens who all immediately rush up to to surface to face 
down the vamps under a Full Moon. Things got Hairy, so to speak, when all of 
the true citizens of the town started growing fur and fangs and a full town 
melee ensued.

But it seems like this would be an excellent sort of scenario to spring on a 
group  who either runs across a camp described below or is simply cut off 
and looking for someplace friendly to stay the night.
