There are no stupid questions! There are, however, silly
questions.

Which would you rather stick up your nose; a salamander or a
newt?

Anyway, to be on topic, I hadn't even thought about making
deals. I was so excited to be playing Risk I forgot to stab
people in the back.

The only etiquette I would suggest is that the back stabbing
not carry over between games. For example, (because a game
geek always has to have a "for example") me and five other
friends used to play Risk quite often. Once I won three
games in a row, by a large margin. For the next several
games, it was understood that everyone was to kill me before
doing anything else. I was eliminated very early in the
next few games. So then I adopted the "touch me and you
die" policy (I'm not kidding). I still got eliminated
early, but so did the first person to attack me. So now it
was two people who weren't having any fun. After that, we
took a break from Risk for a few months and just drank and
watched MTV.
