How cool. Next time I venture over the bridge to Longview, WA I'll have to find a feed store and try and pick up one of these calanders! Molly is the steadfast lady of Nightsky Farm. She is, and always has been, the soul of calm. Last summer, Spruce the goose decided that if her friend Pate' was going to be off setting for an inordinate amount of time, well, then Spruce would cuddle up to Molly and so she did. This is one of my favorite photos and it was chosen as one of the winners for the Wash. State Dept of Agriculture "Birds of Washington" calendar. Although I had two photos published in this calendar last year, this is the first one with one of the pyrs. I am really excited to "feature" a livestock guardian dog as a part of this year's calendar. The calendar is offered free and widely circulated and available at Washington feed stores, vet locations and so on. The caption with the photo says: "Toulouse Goose who loves her livestock guardian dog, a Great Pyrenees." http://i333.photobucket.com/albums/m397/elmochloe/MissAugust.jpg http://i333.photobucket.com/albums/m397/elmochloe/LovelyMolly.jpg -- Linda Anderson Nightsky Farm Stanwood, Wash. |
