I don't see myself as a snob but while looking for a little sister for Kodiak I have come across a lot of Pyrs; yes, but mostly questionable Pyr mixes. Further, from what I've seen there are as many Danes that need homes as Pyrs. I can't picture a Pyr/Dane mix much less take a guess at the dog's dispostion.
I recently came across Pyr/Border Collie Mix. Those collies are Type A and completely opposite in personality from a Pyr in every way. The poor thing was kind of cute but he was a walking personality disorder.

Yeah, people are getting wacko with this cross breeding thing. Some I can understand - like mixing in some poodle to have a dog that sheds less, but this Dane/Pyr mix is kinda ugly IMO, and I would think would be a mess in the hip/knee department. Not to mention bloat, life expectancy..........
