Linda, I am so sorry that there are no good options for Sampson to
continue on with you and Molly on earth. He will be in good company
over the bridge. Whenever I have lost a dog, the others knew and reacted in their
own ways, but they each did sense a loss. Not eating well, not sleeping
well, becoming a Velcro dog for a while, not touching the departed dogs
favorite toys. I found that breaking up the routine helped to snap us all
out of the doldrums. I washed and relocated dogs beds, changed bowls
around, changed feeding times and we all felt a bit differently but could not
point to the missing dog as the difference. As tough as it seems right
now, in a month or two consider getting another dog. Obviously you need
to consider personalities, but Molly will welcome the companionship of another
dog since she is used to having one around. The new dog, even if a Pyr,
will be different and will not fill the hole in your heart but will make a new
place of his or her own. Amy with Charlie, Sweetie and Harry Pugger From:

Anderson Well, we did the oncologist and the tests and so on.
Bottom line - no good options based on his situation. That's it.
So, this weekend, we will help him over the bridge to see Toby and Ski.
Not much more to say, except losing him, especially having just turned 5, is
pretty awful. He is such a great guy. |
