I sometimes have to shave down Arizona in the
summertime. It breaks my heart to do that because she’s so beautiful in
all her furry glory. But the combination of the thick undercoat and the heat
sets her up for skin infections that are difficult to treat.

anyone shave their pyrs?
I never do. We spent the summer in NOLA
and I made sure to keep my pyr inside during the heat of the day when I could
but he did fine, or should I say as well as my borzoi or greyhounds. I
think it insulates and I hate the way they look shaved, IMHO.
