Are some pure bred Pyrs born with no double dew?I do not think they are born with out dew claws. If a GP is missing their dew claws it is cconsidered a breed fault. So a long story short, if the dew claws are remove the dog is devalued. So my suggestion would be to only have them removed, if it becomes a medical question/need. If for any reason in the future, your puppy needs another home having the dew claws would help him. Pretty sad to say this. But when I work with the various out of State rescues, one of the first questions asked is do they have the double dew claws and that is one one the determining factors if they will work with the dog.
