There are several problems here. One the Akbask is likely a very close ancestor to the Pyr. The Akbash can have this shading or piebald as you term it. The Akbash looks remarkably like a Pyr, especially ones seen in France or Europe and more and more as breeders learn about the correct phenotype over here. There were just a few Akbash imported and thus the representation of the breed here from Turkey is very limited. So saying all that, it might be impossible to reliably determine what you want to know and any of our clues may just be our ideas of a differnce and not be valid historically at all.
