Thank you. This
is what I have done so far.
My daughter who attends school
in Columbus (and happens to be home in Pgh for school break) was
first contacted by a friend who boards her horse at this
facility. She requested any assistance the Pyr Group could
provide. I then researched the Pyr rescue groups in Ohio and found two in
the immediate area. I sent her these contacts. I also went to the
Great Pyrenees Club of America site and forwarded her the two names listed
with their telephone numbers. Then, I contacted this
group.
I also suggested that before
anything could be done that she would need to get permission from the
owner
What kind of advice????
Good question - I do not know!!! All I do know is that ICE is in trouble -
big trouble. He has not had a great life. I was unable to do
anything in the past - well, I could have "dognapped" him but he was not up for
adoption prior to this incident. He was being fed, watered,
sheltered etc..
I am not aware of any
aggressive behavior towards the farm cats or horses and definitly not humans -
adults or children. He has always been outdoors so is not housebroken to
my knowledge. Unfortunately, I am not able to take him myself. I
live in the suburbs with a small yard and a small barking dog on the other side
of my fence. I think it would be an invitation to
disaster.
Therrefore, I asked for advice
in order to cover anything I may not have thought to do in order to help
ICE.
