Robert -- If your group is holding its own financially and is finding the quality of pet homes needed at the $200 then I would keep it there. It is always a balance. Enough money to ensure you can care for, house, and evaluate the incoming dogs and not so much that a good home that will provide love and care cannot afford them.
I always laugh when my friends who are breeders quote the prices of their pups to me. Some of the more pretentious ones refer to my houseful as "pound puppies -- didn't cost you much"...Hmmm I wonder... my kitties cost $35 each plus neuter/spaying $75 each (group rate on 7...) Then we had parasites, physicals, shots, runny eyes, respitory tract infections... It has taken two years of seeing the Vets at least once a week to stabilize the cats. In the mean time Casey our alpha had to undergo surgery that left her deaf in one ear but free of persistent ear infections (chalk up about $1500 - for specialist and surgeon), Maude (our Pyr Golden cross) went off the deep end and is now on tranquilizers at $75 a month. Zack is our pillar of strength, poor dog, and gets the least attention --(no wonder he asks everyone to take him home so he can be an only dog). But there is the yearly physical for everyone. And teeth cleaning and..... Some how those pound puppies
add up fast.
We could not have paid 700 each for our dogs but once they became a part of the family we have always found ways to pay for their needs. Luckily for us the rescue people at PFNE decided we would be a good home and kept the fees affordable.

Just FYI - the Atlanta (GA) GP Club Rescue charges $200 per Pyr.
For the $$ you get a Pyr that is certified (in writing) as HW free,
has had a full panel of shots (rabies, distemper, Parvo, Adeno, Corona & Bordetella), has been spayed/neutered (non-negotiable) and has had initial oral Heartgard and topical Frontline +.
Sounds like from this thread, we might need to consider raising our price.......
