Yes.  The dog smell will keep deer away.  I save all of my Pyr and Malamute
hair, place it in a mesh bag, and hang it from rows of walnut trees which I
do not want the deer to touch.  It works beautiful!

Great idea, I am planting a bunch of new plants this summer, I will have to
try it. I wonder if the dog smell will keep the deer away?
