they get used to it and tolerate it If you don't feed them do they get used to being hungry? and don't think much about it. how do you know what
they're thinking? I learned that from a friend of mine who shows Saint Bernards. Just because someone shows dogs certainly doesn't make them an
expert. That statement is proof. As long as I have air conditioning...my dogs are welcome to enjoy it with me. As long as I have a sofa they are
welcome to enjoy that with me...as long as I have breath they will have every possible comfort. What possible reason could I have for not sharing these
things with them?

It seems your comments caused such a stir that I just had to go back and read the posts I'd deleted unread lol!
Keep in mind that your 'human' idea of "comfort" is not always the same as a dog's idea of comfort. My Pyrs & other giant breeds are all house dogs.
Yet in the winter when it snows (seldom) I have to literally go outside and drag them inside the house at night while they hide behind trees hoping I don't
see them and bring them in. I'd leave them out except for the fact their barking makes all the dogs inside bark their heads off all night long.
Do you think goats, horses, sheep and cows should live inside in air conditioning on the couch? Why not? Why dogs and not other animals?
Some of the happiest and healthiest dogs I've seen are outside only livestock guardian dogs.
People who live without AC and whatnot are *used to living that way and it doesn't bother them. The same goes for our dogs.
I have a friend with livestock and alot of LGD breeds, ALL are strictly 'outdoor' dogs. If something happened to me I'll roll over in my grave if my dogs
didn't go to him and instead went to some "air conditioned house in the city". And this is coming from someone (me) who's had strictly indoor dogs my
entire life.
