   No, Canidae is designed for *all stages of life* so puppies as well as elderly dogs are supposed to be able to eat it just fine. It works especially well for large breeds. The company recently came out with a *Platinum* formula designed for overweight or elderly dogs (contains glucosamine/chondroitin), but I would always say it is healthier to just cut back amounts for an overweight dog instead. :-)
