Hi Jay -- welcome to the group!  

Regarding the older dog with arthritis, I have a not so old dog that has
been diagonsed as being moderately dysplastic.  Although there are no signs
of problems, it has been recommended that I put it on a glucosamine
product.  The one I'm using is Missing Link with Glucosamine (I get if from
Omaha Vaccine Co). I've had the dog on it for about 6 weeks now and it
loves the stuff.  A pound bag goes a long way, even on the big guys.
