Actually, it was the lead that I was told should be leather over mylon. I simply thought the braided leather collars were too pretty to pass up! I'm also one who likes to change collars often, but have found the tags (changing from one collar to another) a bit of a problem. Angel has both her rabies tag & her "chip" tag, as well as an ID tag that I find myself having to change from collar to collar. I'm thinking I can run a ribbon through the braid and change that with the season or holiday. I'll find out this Easter if it's "do-able"!

I always use nylon collars, but then again, I like to change them a lot i.e. for Xmas, birthdays, seasons etc. (dress them up, so to speak!) but I always use leather leashes because they are easier on the hands.Susan----- Original Message -----From: hoycrew@attbi.comSent: Friday, April 11, 2003 1:37 PMSubject: Re: RE: [pyrnet] chat:Pet Fair~~an unusal happeningOkay, being a fairly new Pyr owner (1 yr. in August), I am unaware of "why" for the leather collar?? I currently have a nylon collar on TJ, but will absolutely switch if this is not what's best for him! We got it as a gift from the rescue where we fell in love with him. Can anyone off me any insight into the nylon vs. leather? Thanks! I don't always "say" much on here, but have learned TONS from all you kind Pyr owners!!Debbie
