RE: [pyrnet] Teething

Patrick had the same problem... Came on and off until almost 1 year old.

We found that wetting an old towel, wringing it out, tying a few knots in it and freezing it helped a lot. Don't worry if you see a little blood on the towel, as it's only him cutting new teeth.

Ice cubes as a snack also helped a bit. Be careful though, as his baby teeth fall out... Patrick swallowed a few

Subject: [pyrnet] Teething

My 5 month old Pyr is having a terrible time teething.  I've spoken with other "mommies" in his grade one class and they have all said their dogs didn't have any problems.  The same is true for my old dog.  Is it common for Pyrs to lose teeth and get new ones very slowly?  He is really miserable.  I took him to the vet and they said he was ok and that I could use some Anbesol on his gums.  I did it once and won't do it again!  He took a fit because of the frozen sensation it created.

The poor guy - it is rough growing up!
