Re: [pyrnet] RE: OT: Rescue Caution Alert
I was just about ready to say....we must be cautious but is there any way we
could get these folks contact info and discuss the use of more than one
spay/neutered Livestock Guardian Dog?
They would, of course, have to be checked out but I wouldn't call this a
slip up....they just didn't realize a Mastiff is probably not the best
choice for predators, a rescue might not be up to it and they definitely
need more than one dog. What if they have kids (children) they need
protected?!
If they would be a good home and willing to be educated in the breed
(whichever LGD breed) maybe they could be directed to some adult guardians
that already work well together and then add in a pup or two later to be
trained by the older dogs.
If you can find out their contact info, let me know. I'm definitely not
saying I'd just sell them a dog but I would like to try and help.
Please don't think me irresponsible.
Sincerely,
Chrissy McConnell :)
