Re: [pyrnet] French Registry
If I remember it correctly, the French puppy gets first a birth certificate,
with all the same info on it as in a pedigree. When the owner wants to show
ar breed with this dog / bitch it has to be evaluated by judges from the
RACP [French Pyr club} they call it: Confirmation. It is done on special
expositions which are anounced in the Club bulletin. The Pyr has to be at
least 15 month old. When he passes he gets his official pedigree with the
confirmation number added.
For exporting to the Netherlands for example it is different, the breeder
has to provide an "Export Pedigree" which is given by the SCC, the French
Kennel Club. So that this puppy can be registered with the Dutch Kennel
Club.
