[pyrnet] FYI New dog site...possible Breeder Photo copyright infringement

Hi,
This site has been a topic on the SHOWDOGS-L. Not only for some miss
information about certain breeds. But alot of breeders who visited this site
since it was posted, said that they were surprised and dismayed that they
were using a copyrighted photo (s) of their dogs which had been taken
without permission from their site.

There is a Pyrenees page which has several photo's on it, maybe all who have
a website should check it out and see if the photo's may be one of your
dogs.

One breeder said... "Here are a few things written about that site. He has
my picture without permission. He has used all breeders pictures to make his
web site. My site has a copyright on it too."

It sounds from the articles below that the ASPCA And American Cancer Society
will benefit from this site, yet everyone believes he still should have
permission to use the photo's. I agree.

He should remove the photo's if the owner wishes. Or at your request, if
anyone does not mind if he uses your photo's...you can ask him to at least
put a caption below the photo stating the Dog's name and your kennel. Maybe
even a link to your site. The sites disclaimer says that they will.

At least this way visitors see who this dog is and where they are from....
and if they go to your site they will learn more correct information about
the breed then from this generic info site. Just a thought.
