Sissy sent this out to several lists. And I believe, that the berating
comments must have happened on another list or been sent privately, as there
was nothing on this list that indicated such behavior. I agree though, that
we need to educate gently, otherwise we turn people off and they don't ask
for help again. I have not had much time for reading the "other" lists, and
I do belong to 1 or 2 of the others to which this was originally sent.
Evidently, when sissy replied, she did a "reply all" which is why the email
about the berating comments appeared here as well. <sigh> I'm sorry sissy,
if you were berated. Being a Rescue person myself, I too would encourage you
to spay/neuter your dogs. It can help tremendously with certain problems,
especially in young males. And yes, they make better guardians when spayed
or neutered in that they are not ruled by hormones twice a year (or more) if
there are other intact bitches within a 20 mile radius! <G>
