Anais turns into a mud-doggy on rainy days if I let her.  I will never
forget the week after she was spayed.  The vet gave strict orders to only
take her out on leash to keep her from running.  After 5 days of following
orders a really nasty weather day came.  There was inch or more deep water
on the ground and slimy, thick mud everywhere and it was pouring.  I
foolishly thought that the weather was so bad that she would do what she
had to do and come right back in so I didn't leash her and go out with her.
As soon as I opened the door, I heard a squeel of delight as she dashed out
the door and started running, leaping and sliding in the mud.  By the time
I caught her, she was covered in mud, especially on her belly and all over
the incision.  Anais thought it was the best time she ever had!  My vet was
furious.  I spent the next hour carefully trying the wash the mud away. 
Luckily she didn't get infected.
