Re: [pyrnet] Limited Sight Advice

Barb,

I don't think Jascha will do this!  He is a boy but grew up with two girls and never learned to lift his leg!  He always does a sort of squat but has never peed in the house except once.  Dad took him out late at night when he was a puppy.  Dad had to go also and used a bush.  Jascha made note of this.  A couple of days later I found the throw rug in front of the toilet was wet.  I realized by the quantity that this was no accident!  I assume that Jascha decided if Dad can use my place, then I can use his.  Neither boy repeated his stunt again.

On of the suggestions on the website Pam sent was to put perfume on the things the dog bumps into so he learns to avoid them in the future.  A somewhat more accepted house behavior!

I know of another Pyr who does quite well blind. The only problems they have had is that if he does run into something, he marks it. This way, he can smell it and not run into it again. :-)
