Haven't read my mail in a few days, but did want to answer this question since
I am a breeder who cautions puppy buyers not to let their pups rough-house
with bigger dogs. I had a friend whose puppy suffered a crushed pelvis and had
to be put to sleep when a bigger dog collided with her.  My dogs love to play
"crash-o" in our 2- acre field.  They get going so fast that they can't stop
and could do some serious injury to a young pup. I suggest taking pups (not

Hi Charolette,
I agree that the pups have to be protected from injury, and from themselves~~(to a point)~~~
Socialization is a main key to pursue, but, common sense should be used in this situation~~
For example, My main concern has always been,( and breeders have told Me this ),
do Not let the puppy play on stairs, on slick floors, ect...
PS:  I don't like dog parks either ~~
