[pyrnet] Welcomes, barking dogs and obedience class
Claire, I'm sorry the shock collar
didn't seem to work for Mellow. It's really a bummer to buy something
expensive when you can't afford it and then find out it doesn't
help.
Melissa, I sure hope Newman doesn't "find" his
bark suddenly! So far, we haven't had any problems at all with
barking...but then, we keep him inside at night, so maybe that
helps.
Welcomes to Sue and Sirius! Siri sounds like a love. I would imagine the
loss of function has to do with his getting older and some medical
condition. As Barb says, I'd sure check with the vet.
Welcome to Tammy and Molly! Barking at wind chimes, huh? Well, I
guess one excuse is as good as another!
Newman's obedience class comes to a close next Saturday. He's doing
really well with all the commands...except "Come". Try as we
might, he still only comes when he feels like it. I had to laugh at him
yesterday. He snatched a paper towel off the counter top and took off
with it to shred it. I called him and asked him to "bring it"
and he brought it to me (completely stuffed into his mouth). As I was
telling him "good dog!" and offering him the treat, he suddenly
got this look on his face like, "Oh! Treat. Yes. But there's
something in my mouth...gotta get rid of it! Pffft, pfat, pthunk,
ngyahhh".... and the drooly, yucky, torn paper plopped from
his mouth into my hand as he gave me an apologetic look and
delicately took the treat. His looks of apology are wide-eyed and
innocent and so funny it's hard not to laugh...but he gets offended if
you laugh.
Wonder if he'll pass the test next weekend?
