Not much help, I know. But it really is a 'wait and see'
situation. John Fisher said that males will fight for breeding
privileges, females, well... often once they decide they have a
grudge, they never get over it. Sometimes they do get along
again, sometimes they don't. Females are fickle you know. <G>
Mostly, you need to determine 'why' they are fighting each other.
Perhaps it was the crowded conditions, perhaps that was merely
coincidental. No real way to be sure, except to observe their
behavior.
