Hello all!,YES indeed, we have our baby...Maddie (the
ferocious beast!...
NOT!) she is soooooo good! My husband thinks she must be an
alien!! She does
an amazing job at immitating a zamboni, my deck has never
been more void of
snow! She has taught my children, that to be the first one
at the top of the
snow hill you first sit on the biggest kid, then scramble
like mad till you
get to the top before he gets up! Claim hill as your
own,(with a snort!) and
just try and convince her to come down! She will use her
nose to move some
bells hanging over door handle to go out! when she wants
back in, she
"bounces" so high I can nearly see her out the 2nd story
window! This
provides an endless supply of amusement for the neighbors,
since she weighs
considerably more than she did a week ago! She is so gentle
with the
children, has claimed "Her" spot in front of the fireplace,
and scolded with
authority, my sheep skin mitten! (which I have had to hide
since it is
obvious she WILL NOT share her kingdom with this "thing"!)
thanks everone
for the great advice. She's all that...and then some!

Sounds like you're well prepared, Michele...and by now
you'll have your
baby. I bet, if the kids did make noises about a gerbil,
wild horses
couldn't drag them from the puppy by now!
