[pyrnet] Training?

The 2 Pyr's I have were already adults when I got them and while the
female (Ali) was well socialized with other dogs as a puppy the male
(Levi) was not.  Levi was not "fixed" until he was almost 3 years old
also.  They both do great around people (they think it's great when my 2
year old nephew tries to ride him, they even stoop down so he can climb
on!) and other animals (as you know I have 2 cats and 2 turtles) but
they can't stand other dogs.

I'm having problem walking them because they pull so much and they go
after other dogs.  A friend I have runs a boarding kennel and she
recommended that I use a pinch collar (I would be trained on how to use
the collar) and take them out one at a time instead of together.  She
also said that part of Levi's problem is that when he's out with Ali
he's trying to protect her from other dogs.

So, my question is this...  Is it OK to use a pinch collar on my pyrs?
I know they are big dogs and I probably spoil them a little but they are
just babies!  Even though Levi weighs 125 and Ali weighs 140 (we are
working on the diet thing for her, she just doesn't appreciate it!)...
