I have always fed my other breeds of dogs Purina Pro Plan, it has 25%
protein.  My other dogs are very active, and I feel they need it.

When I got my first pyr I tried Pro Plan, but she was to allergenic, and suffered from lose stools, and hot spots while on it. I think it's a pretty good food though,  the primary ingredient in the formula I tried was chicken, but as I recall it had added corn glutton to boost the protein, and the combination just didn't work for me. For what it's worth I think most of the premium foods are good, it just depends on what you're looking for.
I used Iams, for some quite a while which was o.k., and was using Eukanuba when someone on the list recommended Premium Edge to me. It's manufactured by Diamond, but is there top tier line made to compete with Eukanuba. It's made only with fresh meats, contains no corn only rice, and has all the nutritional additives that Eukanuba does. I've been using it for almost a year now, and really like the results in keeping up their weight, and coat.  Plus the cost is a lot less than Euk.   Charlie
