     Michele - You are quite right to try and desensitize your puppy early.
I do a lot of touching and gently squeezing paws from when puppies are only
a few days old - and it really seems to work. Every month I clip the nails
on 28 pyr paws without too much trouble! My males are less tolerant of this,
so I clip them on the grooming table. I also use a "Dremel" from when they
are babies and they get quite used to that.

    So play with her feet - lots of touching them - and I think she will
respond.
